ALMIRON UNUSED SUBSTITUTE IN THRILLING DRAW

Paraguay national team attacker Miguel Almiron was an unused substitute as Newcastle United and Brentford played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at the St. James Park as the new managerial era under Eddie Howe got underway.

In the end, Brentford were able to stop the losing run with the result from the Newcastle game.

Paraguay star Almiron didn’t make the first team selected under the new Eddie Howe managerial era at Newcastle United as the trio of Joelinton, Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson were selected in attack. The duo of Wilson and Saint-Maximin are regulars in the Newcastle United attack, while Paraguay national team playerAlmironis mostly the third attacker when everyone is fit. He had to settle for a place on the bench and he was not introduced into the game until it ended.

Saint-Maximin and the impressive Joelinton backed up their selection with a goal each, while skipper Jamaal Lascelles was responsible for the other Newcastle United goal. For the Bees, star striker Ivan Toney, left-back Rico Henry and Jamaal Lascelles (own goal) were all on target.

Newcastle United have now drawn their last two league games after the Brentford clash and they remain the only Premier League team without a victory after 12 rounds of games.
